Activities for Evacuated Children | Following the October 7, 2023 War (Iron Swords)

In response to the outbreak of the war following the events of October 7, 2023, the Field-School launched a dedicated program for children who were evacuated from their homes and displaced from their daily routines. The program operated for three months, beginning on October 8, 2023, and was designed to provide children with a safe, supportive, and stabilizing environment during a time of deep uncertainty and upheaval.

Throughout the program, the center’s trained guides led daily educational, experiential, and emotional-support activities for children ages 3–18. These activities included group games, creative workshops, and outdoor experiences, offering children moments of routine, joy, and relief, while strengthening their sense of security, emotional resilience, and social connection.

The program reached approximately 390 children evacuated from communities in southern Israel.
